“We have seen substantial demand from the food and beverage industry for our GreenSteel™ product,” stated Paul Galvin, Chairman and CEO of SG Blocks. “Our solution is ideal for both temporary facilities, such as BlackTail, to companies looking to create new permanent locations. Our time to market is exceptionally fast and we are excited to bring the beloved BlackTail cocktail bar outdoors for the warmer months of 2018.”

BlackTail’s story began with a flight – the cocktail bar owes its name to Aeromarine Airways, an airline that flew to Havana regularly. Being one of the newer bars to open at Battery Park City, BlackTail boasts a Cuban-theme and celebrates the daredevil aeronauts back in the day. It also commemorates the Prohibition Era with mixed drinks (five categories, eight original drinks per category) from the 1920s through to the 1950s by creating cocktails with modern day twists and interpretations of the classic recipes.

“The container project for BlackTail will bring the award-winning cocktail bar to the promenade space outside the pier for the spring/summer season,” stated Marc Vecchiarelli, Founder and President of Elle Woodworking.
