Leading Designer and Innovator of Container-Based Structures Collaborates with Gather GVL for 23 Modules Set to Open in the Fourth Quarter of 2018

BROOKLYN, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SG Blocks, Inc. (NASDAQ: SGBX), a leading designer, innovator and fabricator of container-based structures, has secured a 6,000-square-foot retail project with Gather GVL, an eco-friendly food and beverage venue in Greenville, South Carolina. SG Blocks will be designing, fabricating and delivering 23 modules, utilizing six containers and 17 purpose-built Intermodal Container Framing Systems. The modules will house a vibrant social venue and include burger, pizza, taco and sushi restaurants as well as a taproom, wine bar and coffee bar. Gather GVL will be located at 126 Augusta Street in Greenville, SC.

“Gather GVL will bring casual social engagement in a sustainable, eco-friendly environment to Greenville and we are thrilled to be working on this project,” stated Paul Galvin, Chairman and CEO of SG Blocks. “With our disruptive container-based method of construction, the facility will be constructed in half the time, which means locals and visitors alike will have the chance to enjoy the new venue much sooner with anticipated opening in late 2018.”

“The SG Blocks team immediately understood our vision for Gather GVL and we are excited to be working together on this venue,” stated Mack Cross, Managing Principal of Four Oaks Property Group, the developer of Gather GVL. “We look forward to bringing the Greenville community together at our new ‘kitchen table’ and the urban feel of the containers will further enhance the essence of the project.”

Gather GVL will break ground in early July 2018 and is scheduled to be completed and open to the public by the end of the year.
